GF Vegan Grain Free Pumpkin Muffins (Primal, egg free, dairy free, nut free, xanthan free, soy free, sugar free))

2012 January 23

Ok, so, I have a confession to make.

I’m scared of muffins.  No, Seriously.  Cupcakes I can do. Cake, no problem. Brownies, got it.  Muffins? not so much.  I tried once- there’s a carrot muffin on here somewhere thats um… passable.  but its really not much of a muffin.  I wanted something with a soft pillowy kind of crumb, that wasn’t really heavy and grainy and sticky.  I wanted a freakin muffin.

Soft, yummy Gluten Free Vegan Dinner Biscuits (xanthan free, nut free, soy free)

2012 January 22

Do you remember being a teenager and sneaking in late hoping nobody would notice?  Next morning you usually get (at minimum) a few sly glances around the breakfast table, and cross your fingers thats as far as it goes. :)

Time for a nice festive recipe that makes everyone happy- a little something for my foodie friends, my allergen-free friends, my vegan friends, and my primal friends.  I just love it when  I can find something that suits just about everyone :)  This spread is pretty easy to make, doesn’t have alot of ingredients, and its big on flavour.  Even if you don’t like olives, you’re going to really like this spread.  No jokes-  when I sold it at the farmers market this past summer I went through a jillion containers of the stuff. read more…

But for heavens sakes- put those brownies in front of me and I am a mess! What to do?

This is what you do.  You compromise.  I’ve got a little list below to help you out-  something a little sweet that will replace white sugar in your baking so that in small portions, you still get a festive treat.  Hopefully you’ll be encouraged to give these a shot to help through the holiday season…. read more…
